The Family-Friendly Halloween Hooks and Christmas Curveballs of "A Coupla Holiday Spirits"!
We’re kids at heart and connect with young spirits so we’ve always liked covering Holiday songs. As an act on the fringe that never quite fit in, we felt we had found our home in the land of the young bloods! ...kids and adults who are young at heart and forget to age…anything they can conceive for themselves is wildly and limitlessly possible. Our cover of “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch,” was the most popular female-led version with TikTok users last year, so we were inspired to write Christmas originals like “Here Comes Christmas” and “All My Friends Are Ice Queens.” Writing the Halloween songs actually came more naturally since we’re big fans of Danny Elfman and Tim Burton. Plus as a voice actor, I’ve always specialized in villain voices, like wicked Disney villains. “Wannabe Dracula” is a fun Calypso singalong bop telling the story of a young Italian vampire who’s horrible at being a vampire…she loves garlic, is repulsed by blood, and got her teeth fixed because her dentist gave her a deal she couldn’t refuse. We’re excited to finally release a full Novelty Holiday album, nutty gravity and hairy spider senses pulled us down the rabbit hole.

ABOUT FANS OF JIMMY CENTURY
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area/Oakland, Las Vegas-based Fans Of Jimmy Century is the fringe modwave, genre-bending duo of vocalist|voice actor Alicia Perrone and bassist|producer|video director Victor James. Chicago-born drummer Mike Long now tours and records with FOJC full time.
FOJC is a member of the AWAL/Sony Music family of artists. Their highly anticipated and family-friendly holiday album "A Coupla Holiday Spirits (Halloween Perils and Christmas Carols)" came out 7/26/24 and features standout tracks "Here Comes Christmas" and the calypso pop tune "Wannabe Dracula."
"Va Va Voom to the Moon" was feat. on Netflix Top 10 hit "Emily in Paris." The song is experiencing a rebirth of popularity thanks to media giant Pop Sugar featuring their video. Popular album 'Modern Inferno' feat. a cover of Sponge's Wax Ecstatic and charted at #11 on the Alternative charts alongside Jelly Roll, Paramore and Muse. Additionally, iTunes-charting single Best of My Generation [All The Way Clean Edit] is an official NBA Song for MVP player Giannis Antetokounmpo (known as The Greek Freak from the Milwaukee Bucks.)
FOJC is inspired by genre-bending, creating comical, whimsical characters/alter egos to match their songs’ vibes/videos. They create funny music videos, like the 70s-inspo prank music video spoofing buddy films for the iTunes-charting single “Best of My Generation.” The song was a big stretch from the wickedly kitsch, villainous swinger “All My Friends Are Ice Queens” along with their video release of a modjazz version of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” (most popular female-lead version on TikTok) featuring hand rod puppets. The stark contrast amongst their songwriting and delivery began their obsession with genre-bending and creating their own unique world on the fringe of the status quo. FOJC’s YouTube and branding focuses on music, comedy, and pop culture. Their kitschy music, outlandish videos, and bold style are beloved by the younger generation and the young at heart.
In 2013 FOJC was signed with Bungalo/Universal, but left to self-release independently in 2015. Previous to that their former group, Siimon Stinger, was in the process of signing to Elektra (before the label folded) with their mentor, Senior A&R and rock star vocalist of The Cars, Ric Ocasek. Over 250 Film and Television syncs include Netflix’s Top 10 hit Emily in Paris, the Warner Bros. film Get Hard, NBA, Ray Donovan, Law and Order: SVU, Gossip Girl, The L Word, Finding Nemo, Hall Pass, Bad Teacher, Housewives of NYC, Snapped, etc.
Producer Chris Moon (known for discovering Prince) was quoted as saying... "I thought when I discovered Prince, I found the last great talent on the planet. I was wrong. FOJC are awesome."
Going forward, FOJC will launch a Holiday production Las Vegas residency in support of their holiday record in 2025.
